About Us

Dupont Circle is DC’s international heart, the destination neighborhood renowned as the city’s progressive, cosmopolitan gathering place. The Dupont Circle Business Improvement District (BID) is a nonprofit formed in 2018 to elevate this iconic neighborhood with public space management, strategic marketing, and economic development initiatives.

With more than $25 million in public investment planned for a new plaza and streetscape improvements along Connecticut Avenue NW, the BID is poised to energize the neighborhood with increased cleaning services, brand management, events and more.

Our Boundaries

The Dupont Circle BID covers approximately 11 blocks in the commercial district, including Dupont Circle, P Street NW, Massachusetts Avenue, and Connecticut Avenue from the Circle to California Street NW. The BID’s services are funded by a self-imposed assessment on commercial property owners within the BID’s boundaries. To download the Dupont Circle BID Boundary map, click here.

Clean Team

Our Clean Team

The Dupont Circle BID partners with Historic Dupont Circle Main Streets to ensure that the Clean Team cleans and maintains the sidewalks and curbs of the Dupont Circle BID seven days a week, while providing a welcoming and friendly presence on the street for visitors and tourists. The Clean Team provides basic maintenance, cleaning, power washing, and gum removal to keep sidewalks and public spaces free of litter and graffiti. Trash cans are emptied on a daily basis. The Clean Team also undertakes beautification and landscaping projects such as maintaining tree boxes, empting trash bins, reporting infrastructure issues, and generally improving the public realm. If you see one of them around, be sure to say hello!

Marketing & Branding

The BID focuses on elevating the profile of the Dupont Circle neighborhood for visitors, tourists, potential residents, and investors. Through targeted partnerships, marketing materials, brand management, media outreach and communications, the BID seeks to draw more people to Dupont Circle.
