Influenced by all genres of music, Crush Funk's style is unique, embodying the brass tones of New Orleans, along with an Urban Capital City modern pop-fun(k) twist. Comprised of alums from The University of The District of Columbia, Bowie State University, and Howard University, Crush Funk has performed up and down the East Coast and even in New Orleans! Locally, they've led the funeral procession for the late Dick Gregory, also performing for The World Bank, International Jazz Day, Art All Night, the Smithsonian, and Kennedy Center. Recent media appearances have included Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, Good Morning America, and The Washington Post.
