Details
Join Hillyer, the DC Public Library, and the Washington Chapter of the American Institute of Architects for a conversation about the legacy and influence of Ludwig Mies Van Der Rohe, pioneer of modernist architecture, former director of the Bauhaus, and architect of the DC’s Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library. This conversation is inspired by exhibiting artist Neil Forrest’s exhibition The Washingtonian Service, and will feature DC Public Library Executive Director Richard Reyes-Gavilan, Gary F. Martinez FAIA, Executive Architect of the library’s remodel, and Professor Bradford C. Grant, Howard University School of Architecture and Design.
Space is limited. Seating is first-come, first-serve. An RSVP does not guarantee a place.
This event is presented as part of Hillyer’s monthly CultureBlast series, in which we partner with local arts and culture organizations, businesses, and embassies to present unique, engaging programs.
