CultureBlast: Spanish Language Immersion with Conversational DC
As part of the CultureBlast series and together with Conversational DC, Hillyer will host an immersive Spanish language event to celebrate our February exhibition by Amarist, a duo of artists based in Barcelona, Spain. The format is simple: show up, meet some new people, check out some art, and have fun. No English is allowed, but bringing friends is encouraged!
Throughout the crowd will be arts experts who can engage in fluent Spanish about the works in the gallery and beyond, as well as facilitators and listeners with stickers. Facilitators are fluent and/or native speakers that are there to keep the conversation going. Listeners are language-lovers that are just there to observe and absorb.
The event is FREE, with snacks and drinks provided. Join us at Hillyer to be immersed in art and the Spanish language!
