The Superintendent of National Mall and Memorial Parks, Dr. Kevin Griess is pleased to invite you to the Ribbon-cutting Ceremony  Celebrating the Restored Dupont Circle Fountain  with Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for Insular, International and Ocean Affairs William Hague  on Tuesday, May 19 at 1 p.m. Located at Massachusetts Avenue NW at Connecticut Avenue NW.

  As our nation prepares to celebrate 250 years of American independence, this landmark investment renews one of Washington’s most treasured civic spaces and reflects a broader commitment to keeping our Nation’s Capital safe and beautiful. 

The rehabilitation of the historic Dupont Circle Fountain preserves a monument that has connected generations of residents, visitors and families to the American story while ensuring this iconic gathering place remains vibrant for decades to come. 

Completed on time and on budget as part of the Trump Administration’s “Making DC Safe & Beautiful” initiative, this project showcases the dedication of National Park Service employees whose work continues to protect and revitalize the parks, memorials and public spaces that define the Nation’s Capital. Please join us for this special ribbon cutting and be among the first to experience the restored Dupont Circle Fountain, honoring America’s past, celebrating its present and preparing this historic space to welcome millions during the 250th anniversary of our nation’s founding.
