Dupont Circle will be celebrating India’s most colorful holiday, the Holi Festival, on Sunday, March 16, 2024 from 12:00-5:00 p.m. Festivities begin in Dupont Circle park with music by DJ Neil and then Indian cultural dancing on stage by Studio Dhoom and Kathak Dancer Artist, and then progress to The Ven Hotel at 2:00 with dancing and powder throwing.

“We are so excited to be partnering with The Ven hotel to expand this popular festival – now in its third year,” said Patrick Kain, Chair of the Dupont Circle BID. “Dupont Circle is a unique neighborhood with 40 embassies, and we are glad to feature India.”

The Holi Festival is a Hindu holiday that celebrates the end of winter and ushers in spring – celebrating color, love and spring. It lasts for a night and a day, starting on the evening of the Purnima (full moon day) falling on the Hindu calendar month of Phalguna, which falls around the middle of March in the Gregorian calendar.

The portion of this event at The Ven is a separate event and a signup link will be added to the Eventbrite page when it becomes available. RSVP to get all the details and updates sent straight to you!
