Mark your calendars for the International Women’s Day Agora on Thursday, March 7 from 5:00-9:00 p.m. in the The Ven hotel at Embassy Row. Agora means marketplace in Greek. The International Women’s Day Agora is made up of several activations including a Women’s Vendor Marketplace featuring international female vendors, live painting by a local female DC artist, empowering talks by Inspirational Females from the Chinese American Museum, Alliance Française of Washington, Margaret McNamara Education Grant, and more! Raffle Prize Drawing with Gifts from our supporters including tickets from Angel Studios to see the movie “Cabrini,” a gift card from DC’s Salt & Sundry, and others! Mediterranean Sips and Bites for purchase from Fred & Stila.

A portion of the proceeds from this event benefit The Margaret McNamara Education Grant (MMEG). MMEG is a nonprofit, public charity whose mission is to improve the lives of women and children by supporting the higher education of exceptional women from developing countries who catalyze change.

This event would not be possible without the support of The Ven at Embassy Row, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel. Other supporters include the Alliance Française of Washington, D.C., as well as the Hellenic American Women’s Council (HAWC) and the Associates of the American Foreign Service Worldwide (AAFSW).

This event is free and open to the public. The Ven hotel is located at 2015 Massachusetts Avenue, NW. Come celebrate International Women's Day 2024 in the nation’s capital!
