Kung Fu and Community Service: Celebrating 30 Years of Hung Tao Choy Mei

Since 1995, Hung Tao Choy Mei Leadership Institute has brought martial arts, African drumming, traditional Chinese Lion and Dragon Dance, and Chinese musical instruments to Washington, DC.

Marking the culmination of 30 years of community service and cultural exchange, we are setting up at Dupont Underground this Fall to share our legacy of creative activism.

Join us and discover the ancient art of kung fu, connect with local artists, and learn about the school’s service to U Street and the greater Washington area.

Our open gallery exhibit will run from October 17 - November 9; our lions and dragon come alive on October 18 as we kick off at our Grand Opening!

Hours

General gallery hours: Sunday through Thursday, from 11:00am - 5:00pm
Fridays and Saturdays will be open for general exhibition and live performances in the evening, from 11:00am - 10:00pm

Attendance to our gallery and shows are free to the public. Donations are welcome; 100% of donations go to funding our free children's programs.
