Moda, Mercado + Musica, will be on October 10, 2024 from 5:00-9:30 p.m. – an evening that highlights Hispanic fashion, food, and music during Hispanic Heritage Month in the nation’s capital. Experience an evening that pays tribute to Hispanic Heritage by highlighting Hispanic artisans. Tickets are $20 in advance. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Latinas Leading Tomorrow which provides education, mentoring, and leadership resources to Latinas in the DMV area. For your admission, you will be treated to:

  1. a complementary welcome glass of sangria;
  2. entry into a raffle to win prizes from our sponsors; and
  3. a goody bag with gifts including Guayakí Yerba Mate.

Live painting by Alana Guzman, an interdisciplinary artist from Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua who currently lives and works in Washington, DC. Alana’s art explores the tension and overlap between the beauty and pain of being alive. Her emotionally electric work is inspired by the vivid colors of her culture and the dynamism of the graffiti that decorated her childhood.

Don’t miss the marketplace with retail vendors from Latin America including Artesana Love, Inti Phaxsi Gems, and many more! There will be live musical performances throughout the night. And enjoy savory sips and bites for purchase from Fred & Stilla – The Ven hotel’s noted restaurant.

This event could not be possible without the support of The Ven at Embassy Row, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, Women Palante, which helps Latina women across the Americas to become successful entrepreneurs while living a healthy and balanced life, the Latino Economic Development Center (LEDC), which drives the economic and social advancement of low income Latinos and other underserved communities in DC, Maryland, Virginia, and Puerto Rico by equipping them with the skills and tools to achieve financial independence and become leaders in their communities. Finally, the Greater Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, which promotes the continuous improvement of the common good and the quality of life in the community through the pursuit of new business; the cultural, social, and economic education of our citizens; and by providing accurate and timely assistance to the business community.

We look forward to celebrating Hispanic Heritage month, together on 10.10.24!
