It may be a little early for autumn, but we are celebrating the harvest season starting September 9th from 1:00-5:00 in Dupont Circle for Octoberfest. German band Lost Lederhosen has been influenced by the culture and sounds of contemporary German bands. They perform energetic Octoberfest music that audiences love to listen to. Members of the band were trained in classical music and jazz, which infuses into the German sounds of the high-energy oompah band.

Lost Lederhosen plays a diverse collection of classic melodies, such as Fliegerlied, Sweet Caroline, a brass band version of Sweet Child O' Mine, I Will Survive, and more. The band does not play your typical oompah music, but high energy music where people want to sway in their seats and tap their feet.

Be sure to visit the beer gardens on 20th Street (intersection of 20th and Q Streets) and 19th Street (across the street from the Dupont Circle Hotel) where you can enjoy a stein in the streatery. Pretzels will be given away in the Circle to the first 500 people. Look for food and drink specials from the restaurants and taverns in greater Dupont Circle to enjoy throughout the day.

This event was made possible by the Streets for People grant under the DC Office of Planning. This program seeks to support economic recovery and celebrate DC’s diverse culture by attracting people to a vibrant area of activated blocks, sidewalks, streets, and parks.
