On April 27th from 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. EST, the Dupont Circle BID is hosting its next Safety and Security meeting titled, “Safety & Security in 2021 and Beyond within the Dupont Circle BID”.
This virtual event will include presentations from Matt Smith, JBG SMITH’s Vice President, Security for JBG SMITH, who is responsible for security and emergency preparedness for JBG SMITH’s portfolio throughout the National Capital Region including commercial, residential, and retail assets. Security and Officer Jeremy Brady from the Metropolitan Police Department’s 2nd District will also be in attendance.
The meeting will focus on safety and security issues of concern to our members in 2021 and beyond. Topics that will be covered include:
- Organizational preparedness for an active shooter event
- Responding to a potential increase in the homeless population within our region
- Conducting fire and evacuation drills while social distancing
- Safeguarding against auto related crimes within our garages
- Crime trends and patterns within the Dupont Circle BID
