About Leonardo Garcia y Son Horizonte:

Leonardo Garcia y Son Horizonte is an ensemble formed over ten years ago to explore a wide variety of original compositions, authentic arrangements, and a wide variety of Salsa and Salsa Jazz, from the classics (salsa dura), including the band's original salsa music. Since 2019 Son Horizonte has taken its music to perform at a variety of live venues, across the country, and maintains a busy schedule of performing and recording. In the spirit of collaboration, Leonardo and the band have been diving into their productions and creations, along with songs from other members of the group, to bring musical flare to the Salsa and Latin Jazz genre.

Son Horizonte was contacted in 2021 by a production team to record a sound track for the Netflix series Gentefied, to bring the authentic feel and sound. Leonardo was nominated and won the Hollywood Music in Media Awards (HMMA) in November 2018 for the Latin category. Dominque Patrick Noel's composition titled Desde Que Te Conoci, one of the group's percussionists was nominated for HMMA in November 2019. Leonardo was nominated and won the 2019 FOX Music Awards (Premios Fox Music USA) and winner of the Intercontinental Music Awards in 2020 for Best Salsa. 2021 nominated and finalist for Best Sound Recording Engineer with International Singer-Songwriters Association.
