Aizuri Quartet with new commissioned works by Lembit Beecher and Paul Wiancko

Registration Open / Online / Members
$15 for virtual tickets | $10 for members

For the opening concert of the season, we welcome the Phillips debut of the acclaimed Aizuri Quartet. Winners of multiple international awards and nominated for a GRAMMY, the Aizuri Quartet are trailblazers in new music and have the type of ensemble cohesion that brings new interpretive depth to cornerstones of the quartet repertoire. The Aizuri Quartet present two new centennial commissions by composers Lembit Beecher and Paul Wiancko, winners of the S&R Foundation Washington Award. Beecher and Wiancko have chosen art works by Alma Thomas and Sam Gilliam as the inspiration for their new works for quartet.
