Hillyer is proud to host musician Dolapo Kodaolu for a showcase of African and Afro-Cuban drums. Kodaolu will give brief introductions to and play a demonstration of the djembe, the African Talking Drum, Báta, conga, bongo, and Gudugudu. Then try your hand at the drums as Kodaolu gives audience members a chance to play the instruments.

This celebration of "The Giant of Africa's" percussion instruments is free and open to all, but reservations are strongly encouraged.
