Join us in the gallery at Washington Studio School Friday, October 2 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM for the opening reception of Barbara Sobol’s graduation exhibition Drawing the Dark celebrating her completion of the Washington Studio School’s Master Certificate program.

Developed over more than two years of intensive study, Sobol’s work explores the human condition through a continuous interplay between delight and self-doubt. Her evolution moves from floating, soft forms toward deeply grounded, complex mark-making. Featuring large-scale drawings, printmaking, collage, and video, the exhibition offers an intimate look at artistic growth and self-discovery.

Drawing the Dark will be on view in our gallery until October 30.
