Born and raised in southern Thailand, Piya, the restaurant's executive chef and partner, is passionate about authentic Thai cuisine. Early in her career, she traveled across the country to learn how to prepare regional specialties. After leaving Thailand, Piya took her skills to England, where she extended her repertoire to include the best of English cooking. While there, Piya met James Cameron, the business manager of Thaiverse.
Piya's food has delighted people around the world. Her attention to detail is evident when you taste her culinary creations. Using only the best ingredients, her food is always fresh and cooked with love and care. Thai food has a reputation for being spicy, but as the name suggests, Thaiverse offers a range of heat options to its guests.
In their new location, Thaiverse is “thai-versifying.” In addition to serving Thai food, Piya and James have opened Step-Childe Harold, a British pub with classic fare, in the lower level. The pub serves as a nod to Childe Harold, the famous restaurant and bar that formerly occupied the space. Be sure to check-out the Bruce Springsteen contract hanging on the wall! It originates from when the Childe Harold was a music venue in the 1970s.
