Since 2014, Dupont Circle has been the home of Fantom Comics, the beloved P Street shop best known for its comics, graphic novels, and games. And although the store has been in Dupont since 2014, Fantom Comics celebrates its 15th year in business within the District of Columbia in 2020! The store has a fantastic team of employees who have made sure they are able to meet their customers’ comics and graphic novel needs.
From an increase in their e-commerce capabilities, to established and successful relationships with its distributors, Fantom Comics is able to fill online orders and ship them quickly and efficiently.
Fantom Comics is killing the game in terms of engagement. Within the past two months, their virtual events, hosted via FantomHQ Zoom, have featured a trivia night, book club and Q&A with local creators Liz and Jimmy Reed (AKA Cuddles and Rage). David Bishop, co-founder of Fantom Comics, remains optimistic about the future. He and his team work hard to maintain the legacy of one of Washington D.C.’s most influential comic book stores.

But everyone's been really enthusiastic about pitching in to do their part in ensuring that Fantom lives on into whatever comes next. Our customers have been great in supporting us during this time and being real flexible about changes we've had to make to help keep Fantom sustainable.”
Prior to being able to open for curbside pickup, Fantom Comics teamed up with Tiki Taco DC to allow customers to pick up their paid customer orders through their friends downstairs at 2010 P Street NW. That partnership continues as "after hours pick up" for customers who can't make it to Fantom before 6:00 PM closing time.
