The Dupont Circle BID is hosting 30 artists and makers on P Street on Saturday, August 24th from 12:00-5:00 p.m. Painters and potters as well as jewelers and candle makers will be in the 2000-2200 blocks of P Street, NW selling hand-made goods. The pop-up brings people to Dupont Circle to discover the arts. Visit www.dupontcircledc.org.
Dupont Circle park will have a DJ playing music from around the globe all afternoon, so people can sit and relax. And the Embassy of Portugal will be open for visitors – please enter on P Street. Volunteers will be at the Dupont Circle Metro – Q Street North passing out maps and giving directions.
“While people are shopping, they discover the many unique restaurants we have around Dupont Circle. People come for a fun afternoon,” said Jason Goldman, Marketing and Events Manager. “The Pop-up on P Street is an event for everyone into handmade art and goods, and even for people who love a lively ambiance as they eat in one of P Street’s many streateries.”
Dupont Circle is DC’s international heart with 40 shops, 110 restaurants, and 140 services. The destination neighborhood is renowned as the city’s welcoming gathering place. The Dupont Circle Business Improvement District (BID) was formed in 2018 to elevate this iconic neighborhood through public space management, placemaking, activation, and economic development initiatives.
