Washington, DC – Dupont Circle BID in collaboration with The Ven at Embassy Row and the Embassy of India will be celebrating India’s most colorful holiday, the Holi Festival, on Sunday, March 16, 2025, from 12:00-4:00 p.m. Festivities begin in Dupont Circle Park with music by DJ Pandu, followed by Indian cultural dancing on stage by Studio Dhoom and Kathak Dancer Artist.

The event will progress over to the front patio at The Ven hotel at 2015 Massachusetts Avenue at 2:00 p.m. with music, dancing, and powder throwing. Colored powder will be available for sale on-site at The Ven. This portion of the event will last from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and is also free to attend.

“We are so excited to be partnering with The Ven hotel to expand this popular festival – now in its third year,” said Patrick Kain, Chair of the Dupont Circle BID. “Dupont Circle is a unique neighborhood with 40 embassies, and we are glad to feature India.”

The Holi Festival is a Hindu holiday that celebrates the end of winter and ushers in spring – celebrating color, love and spring. It lasts for a night and a day, starting on the evening of the Purnima (full moon day) falling on the Hindu calendar month of Phalguna, which falls around the middle of March in the Gregorian calendar.

Dupont Circle is DC’s international heart with 40 shops, 110 restaurants, and 140 services. The destination neighborhood is renowned as the city’s welcoming gathering place. The Dupont Circle Business Improvement District was formed in 2018 to elevate this iconic neighborhood through public space management, placemaking, and economic development initiatives.
