Join us for the Opening Reception on Friday, August 7, from 6:00 PM–9:00 PM. The exhibition will remain on view through the Closing Reception on Friday, September 4.

METAMORPHOSIS is an exhibition that explores the beauty and complexity of transition, growth, and the courage required to embrace life’s inevitable evolution. Through this body of work, Bran Cherie reflects on resilience, transformation, and the continual pursuit of balance, inviting viewers to consider the deeply personal intersections of change, healing, and mental and emotional well-being.

Grounded in the four stages of the butterfly's life cycle, METAMORPHOSIS draws thoughtful parallels to the four elements, the four seasons, and the four pillars of resilience, revealing the interconnected rhythms that shape both nature and the human experience. Each stage represents a distinct phase of becoming, illustrating that transformation is neither linear nor instantaneous, but an ongoing process of adaptation, renewal, and self-discovery.

Together, the works serve as a meditation on change, honoring the strength found not only in transformation itself, but in the willingness to evolve.

Bran Cherie, born in Los Angeles, California, is a contemporary painter working primarily in oil and acrylic whose conceptual works use the butterfly to explore connection, identity, love, loss, transformation, and resilience.

Founder of Mereri Art Collective, Cherie's work has been exhibited throughout California, Hawaii, Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia. She is currently pursuing studies in Visual Arts while developing concept-driven collections that reimagine familiar symbols as a means of exploring the universal experience of change.
