Details
Sura, a family-run underground lounge, just debuted in Dupont with a star-studded cast of Thai talent. Former sushi chef Billy Thammasathiti teamed up with his aunt, who is behind the popular Fat Nomads supper club, to kick off Sura’s service. They opened with a month long pop-up titled, “One Night In Bangkok”. Andy Thammasathiti of Baltimore’s Mayuree Thai Tavern whips up passion fruit daiquiris and Sichuan baijiu cocktails. The menu features quail egg wontons, spicy crudo, boneless duck laab, and spicy beef or pork skewers. The 50-seat newcomer swings open at 4 p.m. While walk-ins are welcome, reservations are encouraged.
